Medical Advisory Board

Medical Advisory Board (MAB) was conceived as a forum to give HPA member physicians a more direct voice in the deliberations/decisions of the HPA Board (the HPA, Hartford Physicians Association is the physician organization that constitutes 1/2 of the HPHO Board). Through a group of representatives who are either appointed by large groups or elected by their constituents, the MAB discusses most of the issues that come before the HPA Board and makes recommendations. Members of the MAB also serve on one of two functioning committees, the Contract Oversight and the Medical Management Committees. Both committees pursue their assigned agendas, and they come together in the MAB forum to share their work.
